## What they believe
Arthur Canadian Reformed Church holds that the Holy Scripture is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it is infallible, inerrant and sufficient. It confesses the three ancient creeds (the Apostles', the Nicene and the Athanasian) together with the Three Forms of Unity of the Dutch Reformation: the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Canons of Dort. It describes these documents as summaries of biblical teaching that remain subject to, and are to be tested by, the standard of the Word of God.

## What to expect
Anyone is welcome to worship with the congregation, which meets twice each Sunday. The church describes those gatherings as coming together as sinful children of God in need of his grace to celebrate the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Singing is congregational from the Book of Praise, and the service follows the fixed Reformed liturgy of votum, greeting, Scripture reading, sermon and blessing.

## About this congregation
Arthur Canadian Reformed Church held its first service on 20 February 2022, the sixty-seventh congregation instituted in the Canadian Reformed Churches. Most of its members came, as the congregation puts it, from the overflow of the Canadian Reformed churches at Elora, Fergus North and Grand Valley, all within half an hour's drive to the south. It belongs to Classis Northern Ontario.

The congregation does not have its own building. It rents St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 149 Frederick Street East for its two Sunday services, at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and takes its mail at PO Box 183 in the village. The Canadian Reformed Churches' own directory lists Rev. Mark ten Haaf as the minister; in its first years the pulpit was filled by neighbouring ministers and by students from the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton.

The Canadian Reformed Churches were organized by Dutch immigrants who came to Canada after the Second World War and formed their own congregations from 1950 onward, holding to the Three Forms of Unity. Worship is in English, and services are posted to the congregation's YouTube channel.
