Grace Anglican Church

Grace Church is a parish of the Anglican Church of Canada in the Diocese of Niagara. Its worship follows the Book of Alternative Services, the liturgy authorized by the Canadian church alongside the older Book of Common Prayer.

Grace Church is Arthur’s Anglican parish, standing on Tucker Street next door to the United church. It belongs to the Diocese of Niagara, and the Reverend Kevin Cull serves as priest-in-charge. The Wellington County Museum and Archives holds a photograph of the church’s exterior taken in 1973, and the Anglican diocesan records at McMaster University include the parish’s registers.

Worship is early, at nine o’clock on Sunday mornings: Morning Prayer from the Book of Alternative Services on the first Sunday of the month, and Holy Eucharist on the second, third and fourth. Grace shares its ministry with the Anglican parishes at Mount Forest and Palmerston, and on a fifth Sunday the three congregations gather for one service, hosted by each in turn.
